Free Cernit Polymer Clay Color Recipes

If you love working with Cernit polymer clay or are just getting started with it, this is definitely one of the polymer clay brands with the largest range of unique and vibrant colors you can find. The Cernit Number One range alone offers 42 different colors. You can check them all out here.

You may not want to buy every single different color however, or simply want to mix colors yourself to achieve unique shades not offered among the 42 colors ready for use. Se here are a few colors recipes you can use in your creations for free.

How to mix polymer clay colors

Mixing your own colors is not only fun, but much easier than you might think. You don’t even need a precision scale for that. Simply use ratios and you will be able to consistently achieve the same shades over and over again.

As you will see in the color recipes below, you simply have to pick one measurement or shape and apply it to each color mixing. For example, you can roll a slab of clay that is 2mm thick and use a round cutter to cut clay pieces that will be the base for your measurement. When the recipe says 3 parts white and 1/2 black, simply mix 3 white circles with half of a black circle. Pretty simple, isn’t it?
